About Zotero

Zotero has three components:

  • The library/software that keeps all of your references organized
  • The browser connector that can grab citation information off of a web page
  • The Word (or Google Doc) plug-in that can produce formatted in-text citations and a bibliography.

We recommend using the Chrome or Firefox browser.

Installing Zotero

  1. Go to http://www.zotero.org/download
  2. Download Zotero 6 for Mac or Windows
  3. Click to install the Chrome Connector (May not work in Safari)
  4. Go to “Register” and input email address and password information
