To add a reference manually, choose the plus sign from the top bar in your Zotero library. Most common reference types are listed first. Choose 'More' to access many other types, including conference proceedings, encyclopedia entires, or newspaper articles:
A blank record will open in the right-hand pane. Select any field to add as much information as you have. Select the small + or - buttons to add or remove additional author fields:
