There is, you know, quite a bit going on the world. This year’s National Library Week, we’ve tried to highlight some resources that may assist and hopefully entertain you a little while we all buckle down to outlast this. You can read more about all our suggestions here at the 2020 National Library Guide. Take a break! Watch a movie! Learn how to cook because your favorite restaurant is closed and if you get scurvy it’ll be real embarrassing!
Now for a few un-fun, but highly useful, links:
Senator Schatz has a comprehensive list of links to relief programs available to Hawai’i residents. There is specific information for higher education students.
This is Lifeline Crisis Chat available across the US. It’s free. It’s online. It’s 24/7. NAMI has also put together a guide with suggestions and resources.
If you are experiencing food insecurity, you are not alone. The Pantry has online registration. You can place an order for specific food and drive thru for pick up!
The state unemployment portal is struggling under the volume, but you can get started there.
