Holiday Closures:

Tuesday, November 5, 2024 - Election Day

Monday, November 11, 2024 - Veterans' Day

Not only is it spooky season, but it's also election season. Hawaii votes by mail; you only have to walk as far as your mailbox. Make sure your voice gets heard and your votes get counted for the General Election by following these steps below:

  1. Register to vote! Remember to double-check your address.
    • Register online at any time or register same day in person at a voter service center from October 22 - November 5.
  2. You should have received your General Election ballot packet around October 18.
  3. Fill out your ballot!
    • Not sure who these people are? You can research candidates and positions at Vote Smart or LWV. You can also check out the Office of Elections' 2024 General Election Voter Guide.
    • Interested in seeing where most candidates stand on various issues? Visit Civil Beat to see their 2024 Elections Guide.
  4. Return your ballot! Whether by mail or drop box, make sure your voted ballot is received by 7 pm on Election Day, November 5, 2024.
    • By Mail: Use the postage-paid return envelope. Be mindful of USPS delivery times to ensure it is received by the deadline above.
    • By Ballot Drop Box: Drop off your ballot at one of these locations. The nearest location to JABSOM is Honolulu Hale.
  5. NOVEMBER 5, 2024: All ballots must be received by 7 pm! Find a Voter Service Center or Place of Deposit site to drop off your ballot.
    • You can check the status of your ballot to see if it has been mailed or received by your County Elections Division here.
    • After 7 pm on Election Day, you can begin viewing election results at elections.hawaii.gov. The results will continue to be updated until all valid ballots received by the deadline are counted.
