Rayyan for Systematic Reviews

An introduction to getting started with Rayyan.

Inviting Collaborators

You can invite colleagues by email to join you in the review. Three options for User Roles are available: Collaborator, Reviewer, and Viewer.

  • Collaborator: Can do almost everything except delete the review, invite others, or change the blind setting on the review
  • Reviewer: Has more limited permissions than Collaborators. Reviewers can make inclusion decisions, apply labels and reasons, and add notes to references. They cannot upload references or full texts, copy, deduplicate, or export references, nor review configuration settings (such as adding keywords for inclusion or exclusion).
  • Viewer: Can only access and view the records.

If not registered, the invitees will receive an email invitation with a link to create an account with Rayyan and access the review.

Chat

Use the built-in Chat feature to communicate with your review team and view updates.

Blinding

Only the review owner can change the blind mode (Blind ON/OFF). You can manage blinding while screening articles, ensuring unbiased decision-making throughout the review process. On the Screening page, locate the "Blind On" button to turn blinding off. It will toggle to "Blind Off."

Note that Blind Mode is automatically ON. Blind OFF mode allows members to see each other's decisions.
