JABSOM students have a new podcast out!  JABSOM Journeys is hosted by five first year medical students. All of them are kama'aina who attended college on the mainland, but came back home to go to medical school. In the podcast, they talk about how they decided to go to medical school and how they came to be students here at UH. 

We have lots of other podcast recommendations available in the podcast section of our media guide! If you're looking for something a little more escapist (ie, not medical), we have recommendations for that, too! 

• The Iditapod: The Last Great Race 2021 begins March 6th! Journalists from Alaska, the state most likely to be left off the maps with us, follow the mushers on their pandemic-modified route. If you've ever wondered why Alaska is so good at vaccine distribution, or why a bunch of people on twitter identify as #UglyDogs, or why so many dogs turn back to Shaktoolik, this is the podcast for you!
• Noble Blood: A well-produced and unvarnished look at the major political players of the past, royalty, hosted by Dana Schwarz. Our favorite episode is on the Mayerling episode, a scandal from 1889 that had it all. A crown prince! His underage mistress! Murder! And Franz Ferdinand!
• Buried Truths: Truly, we cannot recommend this one highly enough. Hank Klibanoff, a Pulitzer Prize winner, hosts a show about Civil Rights, history, and how outsiders and most white people misunderstand the history of the southern states.
• You're Wrong About: Friends and journalists Michael Hobbes and Sarah Marshall live in the past and love to discuss how the present doesn't get it. A show about things you thought you know, but never really learned like: the career of Nancy Grace, why so many people are obsessed with Anastasia, the statistical truth about sex offenders, the absurdities of D.A.R.E (iykyk).
