Holiday Closures:

Monday, February 17, 2025 - Presidents’ Day

Lunar New Year, also known as the Spring Festival in China, marks the arrival of spring and the beginning of a new year on the lunisolar calendar. Celebrated in China, South Korea, Vietnam, and countries with significant overseas Chinese communities, it is a time for family reunions, renewal, and honoring traditions.

The fifteen-day celebration begins with cleaning and decorating homes, shopping for holiday essentials, and gathering for the Lunar New Year’s Eve reunion dinner. This meal, featuring symbolic dishes like a whole fish (representing abundance), is the highlight of the holiday. The festivities conclude with the Lantern Festival, where families enjoy sweet rice balls (tangyuan) and light lanterns to symbolize unity and hope.

In 2025, we celebrate the Year of the Snake, associated with wisdom and transformation. While different cultures uniquely observe the Lunar New Year, the holiday remains a meaningful time for reflection and connection.

Wishing you wisdom, happiness, and prosperity in the Year of the Snake!
