Borrowing Materials from the Library

Students, staff, and faculty who have valid UH identification from any of the UH campuses may borrow books from the Health Sciences Library. If you have questions about your UH ID, please call the Information Desk at 808-692-0810.

Health Sciences Library’s circulation policies are the same as other UH Mānoa libraries with the following exceptions:

  1. Reserve materials may be checked out after 3:00 PM by JABSOM students and faculty only. Materials must be returned the next day, two hours after the library opens. Overdue fines are $1.00 per hour. If the library is closed for a holiday, the book is due the following day, two hours after the library opens.
  2. Books may not be checked out by individuals with Community Borrower Cards.
  3. No more than three (3) reserve books may be checked out per day.
